Welcome to my little corner of the web

I am a fifth generation Mainer, and I am retired after a career as a financial administrator at the University of Chicago and the University of Maine at Orono. I am married to a North Belgrade woman with an even longer family heritage.

A stepfather of two adults, and the grandfather of three, my areas of interest are technology advances, the background to political events, the need for social justice and diversity, and the move of readers and viewers away from traditional media to subsequent “personal journalism.”
